A Journey for Food
For this Design Thinking project, I documented the often overlooked processes involved in my journey to one of my favorite food spots, Merkamo Ethiopian in Spitalfields Market. The goal was to observe and map every detail of the journey, from the sensory experiences along the route to the interactions with the space and people. This journey map highlighted not only the visual, auditory, and emotional elements I encountered but also the design choices present in the environment, such as street art, architectural features, and even the vendor's setup. Through this process, I became more aware of how intentional design impacts our everyday experiences, especially in urban spaces. This reflective approach also made me think about broader factors such as sustainability, accessibility, and the cultural significance of the food itself.
